My Story

I’m Taylor Kerr, a Senior at St. Edward’s University, and I have the privilege of leading Junior girls in Young Life.

One powerful moment that stands out to me is when a girl in my group went through an incredibly difficult season of loss but found the courage to share her story with our Young Life community at camp for the first time, bringing her pain into the light and finding support and healing. The way her friends surrounded her immediately with tears of their own and encouragement was incredible. 

Another unforgettable experience was interviewing my girls to become WyldLife leaders and hearing how much Young Life means to them. It reminded me why I’m so passionate about leading.

Watching my girls grow from freshmen with a simple desire to know the Lord into young women who now want that same relationship for others perfectly captures the heart of Young Life for me.

Leading has also transformed my own faith, challenging me to ask hard questions and see God move in ways beyond what I expected—especially through the community at Lake Travis Young Life. Through all these experiences, I’ve seen God work powerfully in the lives of these girls and in my own walk of faith.
